Pets are not disposable – particularly vulnerable seniors. And yet, after 12 years of being one family’s
loyal and loving pet, Ralph was no longer wanted. But before he could be surrendered to Animal Control or euthanized, a compassionate angel in the form of a woman named Maria intervened and rescued him.
Despite having just lost her job and her house! Then, the unthinkable happened. Her sweet Ralph fell ill. Stricken that she couldn’t afford the medical help he so desperately needed, she reached out to us.
Thanks to your ongoing and generous support, we provided Maria with a Home for Life grant to help pay for Ralph’s veterinary examination, x-rays and medications.
