Hiro and Beth
There’s no tighter bond than the one between an owner and a service animal, that four-legged pillar of unconditional love, strength and support. And when that bond is suddenly threatened, it may weaken but, hopefully, doesn’t break.
Battling both health and financial issues, Elizabeth was preparing to re-enlist in the military when her beloved service cat, Hiro, suffered a severe urinary blockage and required immediate emergency surgery. Thankfully, the Orange County SPCA helped pay for the surgery, thereby saving his life, but left with the daunting task of covering the after care he would need, Beth reached out to us.
Thanks to your ongoing and generous support, we provided her with a Home for Life grant to help pay for Hiro’s follow-up care.
